Team IL is a group of transplant recipients, living donors and donor family members from Illinois whose lives have been touched by organ donation and transplantation. Every two years they participate in the U.S. Transplant Games in order to promote organ donation and show that transplantation works.
Q: Who is on Team Illinois?
Athletes: Recipients who have received lifesaving solid organ transplant or heterologous bone marrow transplants and are at least months post transplant.
Living Donors: Those who have given the gift of life through living organ and tissue donation.
Donor Families: Families whose loved ones gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation after death.

Q: Where and when are the next Transplant Games?
The next U.S. Transplant Games will be held July 30th - August 4, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. The U.S. Transplant Games are held every two years on even years. The World Transplant Games are held every two years on the odd years.
Q: Who is part of the Team Illinois Leadership Team?
Team Illinois is managed by a small group of volunteers and we are a part of the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
